Philip grew up just down the road in Virginia, and has been caring for Gawler families since 2011, when he joined the practice as his first role after graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. Fifteen years on, he's now a partner here - and has treated several generations of some local families.
Most of Philip's week is everyday dentistry - checkups, fillings and crowns - but he also gravitates toward the more complex end: full-mouth rehabilitation, dental implant placement, wisdom teeth removal and difficult extractions. It's work many patients would otherwise be referred into Adelaide for, and he takes real satisfaction in the difference it makes.
Patients most often comment on how calm he is to be around. He works efficiently without rushing - which for most people means less time in the chair and fewer appointments to get the job done.
Outside the clinic, Philip is kept busy by his three young boys and their sport. He's also a lifelong car and motorsport enthusiast, which he'll happily talk about if you'd rather be distracted from what's happening in your mouth.
